OK, against the tide here, but I think it would be a very bad idea!

Consider how Atlantis is already known, without anyone knowing where / if it exists.

Now imagine, how many millions of tourists trying to see if it is discovered. Think about how quickly they are by the trade / travel, etc. destroyed

Sorry, but I only stayed as it was!

One of the cable TV channels - would have the History Channel and National Geographic, the Court recently in comparison with Plato's description of some geometric similarity of the days of the island of Thera was (now Santorini). It is a volcanic island that erupted somewhere between 1200 - 1500 BC, C., and triggered a tsunami that hit neighboring Minoans in Crete.

Plato described Atlantis as a series of concentric circles of canals, and that the same type of agreements in the archaeological discoveries have been Thera / Santorini. It was probably one of the main island between a system of several islands of the Minoan Crete, it was.

Some Minoans survived and sought refuge in southern Egypt more. One of the hieroglyphics found in Egypt, shows an island painted a similar description, that is, Plato, like the circular channels found in Thera, and the inscriptions show that the people of Crete.

I am firmly convinced that Atlantis is a name which Plato had given many years after it was in fact the system was MinoaN, including the islands of Thera (Santorini) and Crete.

Unfortunately, it seems that the volcano of Santorini is still alive and only a matter of time before it breaks again.

No, this is the problem that the image of Plato's Atlantis, the image of the classical world of Atlantis, have reasonably close, the picture of Ignatius Donnelly Atlantis nineteenth century, which had nothing to do with the vision of Plato do, but influenced Lewis Spence Edgar Cayce and many others, and a more modern image of Atlantis. All of these conflicts between them. Want to arguments and fights? Then discover the Atlantis.

The picture leads to a different interpretation of the spirit, but reasonable Atlantis wonderful poem by WH Auden:
