Instruments of torture are inventions of the sick man, yes, but man is not bad in itself. There are good and bad in everyone. Example: Einstein was a great help in creating the atomic bomb, but condemned their actual use. Hypothetical example: Of course, torture, no serious evidence to support this, but discovered the person, or use one of these instruments could also be a faithful husband and / or a good father.
I try not to words like "good" and use "evil" because they contribute to black and white mentality. No not right, wrong, and there is everything else. They can closer to one end of the spectrum than the others, but always somewhere on the betWeen.

Your question is incorrect. It is assumed that a man of evil, and every part of humanity as a whole.
Evil is an option that some people do. All people have no instruments of torture, not all people use, or allow its use.
The villains have to use instruments of torture, or to himself and, or, more commonly used than others.
The man is in itself a decision and a creator is to make their ideas a reality. While I agree that torture is wrong and evil, this does not mean that most of the inventions of man must be evil.
Some men are bad and wrong. Some men are doing well and good.
Each of us decide which way we organize our efforts and our energies.

Evil is just one of many characteristics of human beings. We are capable of evil deeds, we are the acts of kindness and compassion enabled. I think some people just stop with more fun activities to make more evil than others.
If man is not good, why should I create?
